PROMISES AT PYRAMID ROCK is a standalone read with a happy ending. It is set in the beautiful state of Hawaii, has some good facts about the islands as well as a love story. There are no inappropriate scenes or language so any age can read and enjoy. Always a sweet romance. A new series on the Marines in Hawaii.Ana and Mac have been best friends since they were 4 and 6. They were raised in California to parents that were in the movie business and the marriages were not happy ones. Lots of arguing and fighting that left its scars on the young children. When Ana was 11, her parents divorced and she and her dad moved out of the state. The kids were heartbroken but they managed to stay in touch.Mac's parents divorced 2 years later. As adults Mac at 19 joined the Marines. Ana went on to become a very successful influencer on social media. They were long-distance best friends and managed to visit one another at least once a year.In her late 20's Ana decided she was tired of being alone and she moved to Hawaii to be near her best friend Mac. He discovered rather quickly that he had a problem. He was in love with Ana and afraid that if he told her, it would risk their friendship. But if he didn't tell, he might lose her to another man. Ana was beautiful and there were plenty of single men willing to ask her out.This is a really good story. A great read in a new series. You will learn things about the Marines that you probably didn't know and you get to experience Hawaii. An entertaining and good read. I definitely recommend it. If you missed the California Marines, you can still read that series. All good stories and all different.I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one.
